November Notes

I’ve put my juggling hat back on, since getting back from vacation! Let’s face it, gifting season has ‘us artisans’ just a little “extra” this time of year 🤣 And aside from crafting at the bench (and working full-time), I have two wonderful freelance projects + a personal project cookin’! 

One project, I can’t fully divulge…but hints along the way are fun! My friend Jen (of @wholisticheartstudio) and I are conjuring up a wellness “tool”, to artistically create connection between plant-world and our chakra system! Between her word-smithing and my art, we want to foster a deeper knowing of self for all 💚 So, I’m chipping away at our curated list of plants we feel embody characteristics of the chakras.

This project is fueling my personal project too! Which is to further build-out my illustration portfolio! I’m seeking larger illustration opportunities (editorial and licensing) in the coming year! Doing so, will hopefully allow me to find a healthier work-life balance, by ditching my current full-time job 🤞

And my second freelance project is building a small branding package (logo and website) for a local specialist, branching out on her own! “I’d like a drawing of a particular flower for my logo”, she said. Pshhh. Slam dunk! We just finalized her logo and are going to start building her site!

Ay! Right around the corner!

Did you see my last IG post? I’m almost “there” with NEW pendants inspired by my recent southwest travels🏜 Yes, a subtle shift from my love of the north. It was such a beautiful and inspiring experience of a ‘nature’ I’m just not used to, I must share it with you all!

With these new pieces, I’m playing with a few new techniques too. Look for my IG story polls desiring your input along the way!
