Shifting BTG to Blog

Oh hi there!

I’m excited to shift my BTG Newsletter, into a blog!

And for those curious, I figure I’d kick it off with why…

First - Experience

Personal experience, and your poll response on IG, quickly reminded me how much more digestible and accessible online blog’s are. Especially, when many of us already have to dip in and out of our inbox’s daily at work!

Second - Accessibility

For you, having all the posts available in one place offers ease in catching up! From home, or on-the-go, you can easily visit the blog on my website, save the link to your “favorite’s”, or tap the link in my IG bio! For me, the shift came down to constant glitches composing from my phone, and knowing the impending time I’d have to waste on work-arounds! I would quickly loose energy. So, I am doing a literal happy dance to let creativity flow when it wants. Whether in the studio, or on-the-go. Because I’m not always a “sit down at a certain time and crank out content” kinda’ gal. Ya know?

Third - Look + Feel

It sounds trivial, but the formatting is b i g. Being a graphic designer by day, could be magnifying this for me. But, in my experience, the constraints of e-mail formatting really diminish the ability to create visual continuity and flow with large bodies of text and/or images. Blogs being viewed in a web-browser, offer up much more formatting flow.

Four - Frequency

Because of what I mention in #2, I haven’t been sharing as often as I’d like, and think would benefit n’GRAINED. That needed to change. So, I anticipate this shift as step in the right direction!

Five - Exclusive Appreciation

I’m obviously sour about using e-mail for (my) lengthy newsletter shares, but still find an e-mail list invaluable! So, I’m not getting rid of the ‘Grainer mailing list.

Instead, it’s going to serve a much more exclusive purpose! Having shared your e-mail with me - you want to be in-the-know, which is an extension of support 🙏 So, to reflect that appreciation back, I want to sprinkle little bits of gratitude to you, throughout the year, via e-mail. Keyword “little”…meaning short…to the point…quick…painless 🤣 And by “gratitude” I mean preview’s of newly finished pieces, or early notification of shop update times/dates! (Oh, I’ll give the heads-up in a blog post, to check your inboxes.)

Drop a comment below - I’d love to know your thoughts on the switch,
and what you’d like to see more of from me!
